Online Safety and Learning

St Philip’s is committed to teaching pupils how to use the internet safely and supporting parents to promote these essential skills at home.

We recognise the internet has become an integral part of children’s lives, enabling them to connect with friends, create art, play games, and access information about the world around them. As the internet continues to evolve, it brings new and exciting opportunities to support children’s learning and development.

However, there are times when internet use can have a negative effect on children. The best way to protect children is to understand the internet and be aware of the potential risks. Download our Online Safety Advice for parents and carers. Visit Be Internet Legends for more online safety information.

Online Learning

SeeSaw

SeeSaw is a secure online platform where children can document and reflect on what they are learning in class. Your child will be able to add the things we work on (including photos, videos, worksheets, drawings and voice recordings) to their Seesaw journal and we can share them with you and other family members to view and comment on throughout the school year.

Google Classrooms

Google Classrooms is a virtual learning environment where your child will be set homework that they can complete and turn in to their class teacher. Teachers can also upload information and resources for parents, which can be used to support learning at home.
