The Community of Saints CE Governing Body consists of dedicated volunteers from the community, each contributing their own knowledge, skills and professional experience to help the school achieve its aim of providing the best possible education for pupils.
Their primary role is to offer support and strategic challenge to the headteacher and staff. They collaborate with staff to set targets for learning and attainment, aiming for excellence in all aspects of school life. Governors assess the school’s progress in meeting these goals and identify areas for improvement.
Governors do not get involved with the day-to-day workings of the school; this responsibility belongs to the headteacher and the senior leadership team.
Chair of Governors - Jess Kippen
Vice Chair of Governors - Lynda Newton
The Chair of Governors can be contacted through the school.
Full Board of Governors’ meetings take place every half term. We have two main sub-committees that meet more regularly.
●Teaching and Learning Committee, chaired by Lynda Newton
●The Finance, Personnel and Premises Committee, chaired by Jess Kippen
Three further committees meet once a year to discuss Pay, Admissions and the Executive Headteacher’s Performance Management.
