St Philip’s CE Primary School Homepage
It is our pleasure to welcome you to St Philip’s Primary School, a friendly, warm and happy environment where children enjoy learning. St Philip’s is a Church of England Voluntary Aided school that belongs to the Community of Saints Church of England Federation.
Our school is named after St Philip the Apostle, one of Jesus’ twelve disciples. He responded to two words from Jesus: “Follow me.” St Philip’s legacy inspires us to walk in his footsteps and follow the example of Christ. This is reflected in our ethos: “Let everything you do be done in love.” This famous Bible verse serves as an important reminder to always act towards each other with care and compassion. This ethos expresses itself in the everyday life of our school.
Our vision is for St Philip’s to be a place where love is the foundation. Jesus taught us that “you are enough” and that love is at the heart of everything that we do. When we love as God loves us we become the best version of ourselves and inspire others to do the same. For us, at St Philip’s this looks like a community where we celebrate who we are, where we rejoice in all of the different things that make us special. It is a place where we strive to create the conditions where everyone can flourish. Where we strive to do things better, for ourselves and for each other, not to try and reach some unachievable goal but because to love someone is to want the best for them.
We hope that you enjoy exploring our website. If you would like to learn more about our wonderful school, please do not hesitate to contact us and arrange a visit.
